Weronika Bochenek

Weronika pochodzi z Piekar Śląskich, uczęszcza do III LO imienia Adama Mickiewicza w Katowicach. Jest przyboczną w 13 PDSH ,,Gwiazdozbiór”, aktywnie działa w ZHP. Bardzo ważna jest dla niej rodzinna miejscowość i Śląsk.
Przez jeden dzień była Prezydentem Miasta Piekary Śląskie, jako zwyciężczyni konkursu ,,Gdybym była Prezydentem Miasta”. Interesuje się historią, zwłaszcza inspirującymi kobietami na przestrzeni dziejów, życiem codziennym w dawnych wiekach. Zdobyła tytuł laureatki Wojewódzkiego Konkursu Przedmiotowego z Historii, co pozwoliło jej dostać się do wybranej szkoły. Wygrała konkurs ,,Piekarski Omnibus 2018”, dzięki któremu mogła zwiedzić Brukselę, w tym Parlament Europejski.
Brała udział w programie ,,Jestem liderką” fundacji ,,Vital Voices”, który spełnił jej marzenia. Pracowała dla ,,Dziennika Zachodniego” oraz ,,Manhattan Times”.
Uwielbia czytać książki, pisać własne opowiadania i artykuły. Z sukcesami uczestniczy w konkursach literackich. Weronika zajmuje się również grafologią – sztuką odczytywania charakteru człowieka z jego pisma. W przyszłości chciałaby pomagać innym ludziom, zwłaszcza dzieciom jako działaczka społeczna. Planuje studiować prawo i zostać sędzią.
W wolnych chwilach haftuje i podróżuje.

Weronika is from Piekary Śląskie and she is a student at 3rd High School of Adam Mickiewicz in Katowice. She is an assistant scout leader in 13rd PDSH ”Gwiazdozbiór” (”Constellation”), she is an active member of ZHP (Polish Scouting and Guiding Association). Her hometown and Silesian district are very important for her.
She had a chance to feel like the Mayor of Piekary Śląskie for one day as she was the winner of a competition called ”If I was the Mayor of the City”. She is interested in history, inspiring women and daily routines of the people in ancient times. She was a laureate of 'History Provincial Competition’ and this achievement helped her to become the student of her current High School. She won a local competition ”Piekarski Omnibus 2018”. Its prize was a trip to Brussels and a visit in the European Parliament.
Weronika took part in ”I am leader” program, conducted by ”Vital Voices Chapter Poland’, and her dream came true. She worked in ”Dziennik Zachodni” and ”Manhattan Times” too.
She loves reading books, writing her own short stories and articles. She is interested in graphology – analysis of the physical characteristics and patterns of handwriting. In the future she wants to help other people, especially children, and become a social activist. She is planning to study law and become a judge. Weronika is glad because she successfully participates in writing competitions.
In her free time Weronika likes to embroider and travel.
