Senior Vice President, Department Head of Middle Office, Citi
Katarzyna Popielawska joined Citi in 2007. She graduated from Warsaw School of Economics – holds Master’s degree at the faculties of International Business and Economic Relations. For last 2 years, Katarzyna has been in charge of Middle Office Processing Department Head. Her area is responsible Investment Portfolio Services for North America and European clients, reporting to Global Head of Middle Office and locally – to Investor Services Warsaw Site Head. Prior to this role Katarzyna was responsible for Platinum Client Fund Administration functions within Warsaw Securities Services structure. Teams under her supervision performed key functions for large deal client in end-to-end Fund Accounting process. She joined Citi on Senior Specialist position and participated in first migration of Fund Administration functions from Dublin. Between 2008 and 2013 she held number of managerial roles in Funds Administration, growing from team leader to manager of managers position. During this period, Katarzyna was responsible for completion of 4 migration projects (migrations from Luxembourg and Edinburgh) and was involved or led series of the reengineering initiatives.
She is an active member of CitiWomen’s Network Poland Steering Committee as well as leading projects connected with People Strategy on Investor Service and Citi Service Center level. Katarzyna possesses expertise mainly in Investor Services related fields – Fund Accounting and Middle Office/capital markets related, went through all areas – starting from Transaction Control to NAV Valuations. Experience in numerous LEAN waves and projects, reengineering initiatives (like EMEA Reconciliation platform), as well as creating new teams and processes, connected with new clients onboarding and change management.
