Dr. Daria Tataj is the founder of Vital Voices Poland. In 2006, the US Department of State and FORTUNE magazine identified her as one of 17 emerging global businesswomen leaders and invited her for a mentoring program with Pat Fili Krushel, Vice President of Time Warner. The mentoring program was prepared by the Vital Voices Global Partnership. It was during this program that Daria met Mme Hillary Clinton, Andrea Jung, Carly Fiorina, Judy McHale and other iconic American women leaders. Returning to Poland, she wanted to give back to her community and she founded Vital Voices Poland, an organization that helped over 100 emerging women leaders from Poland, Eastern Europe and Eurasia transform their professional careers. In 2014, Daria received the “Creator of Innovation” title in Poland.
Beyond her role in Vital Voices, Dr. Tataj is an internationally recognized expert on innovation. She is the Founder and CEO of Tataj Innovation, a consultancy helping governments design innovation policy. She is an alumna of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council and a prestigious group of Forum’s innovation experts. In the European Union, she has played an instrumental role in launching the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a new multibillion funding institution established by the European Commission in 2008.
As author and speaker, she is regularly invited to many business, government and academic events all around the world. Her book “Innovation and Entrepreneurship. A Growth Model for Europe Beyond the Crisis”, with a preface by Manuel Castells, was be published in New York in 2015.
Privately, Daria has three daughters, enjoys practicing yoga and walking the dog with her husband.

She holds and MBA in Strategic Management from the Polish Open University in Warsaw as well as the London School of Public Relations. An expert in mentoring and in women’s leadership. Currently a Member of the Advisory Board Council in the European Women Congress. Alumna of the US Department of State Program „Women in Leadership: Advancing Women as Corporate Leaders and as Entrepreneurs” (2011).
